Photography in London and beyond – February to April 2026

How are we half way through 2026 already? Time for a quick update!

I had a nice mix of shoots in February. I shot a number of corporate headshot commissions around London, with each client requiring a different style. There was also a corporate lifestyle shoot for a large insurance company, an editorial shoot for an American client, and a conference event. I also shot still photography and video b-roll for a client near St Pauls. Here are some of the results.

March was another busy month in London. In addition to several business headshot shoots, I shot environmental portraits and team photos for a global sports and live entertainment company. I was lucky with the weather for an outdoor corporate portrait shoot at Canary Wharf, and I photographed an awards event at Perola cocktail bar, which has fantastic views over Battersea Power Station. I had a very early 5.30am start for a commercial shoot in London, as we had to be out by 7am at the first location. As part of the same commission, I photographed a number of buildings around London that afternoon and the following day. Finally, I enjoyed a keynote speech by athlete Derek Redmond at a conference I shot.

I also visited the annual Photography & Video Show at Excel to keep up to date with the latest gear. I picked up a new camera and prime lens while I was there. I use the Sony A7 V primarily for events, while the Sony 50mm f1.4 G Master is a phenomenal portrait lens, and fairly compact too.

April involved a lot of travel around England. As well as events in London, I visited Preston for a corporate shoot, Bristol for an event and Northampton for a fun studio portrait shoot.

I’ll be posting another update covering May to July sometime soon!
